Teams from Alaska to Tennessee take part in workshops this winter.
This winter, the Balancing Nature and Commerce for Communities that Neighbor Public Lands course attracted four diverse teams from Tennessee to Oklahoma to develop tangible plans for their communities' futures. A place-based Green Infrastructure workshop sent the CLN team traveling to Fairbanks, Alaska, where 60 professionals gathered for a week to learn and begin developing strategic conservation plans. Advancing Local and Regional Collaboration for Forest Conservation
Chesapeake Region Forest The Chesapeake Forest Conservation Summit will be held May 29 – 30, 2008, at the National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. Tribute to Mark Benedict
Dedication of Elm Tree Grove at NCTC on April 19th
Mark Benedict The Conservation Fund and the USFWS National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) will host a memorial celebration to honor the life and work of our beloved colleague, Mark Benedict on April 19, 2008. A tree planting ceremony will be held along with other activities on the NCTC campus for Mark’s family, friends, colleagues, and all who want to pay tribute to his work.
