"Achieving Common Ground for Our Partners"

Across the country, corporate and community leaders seek conservation solutions that benefit both the economy and environment. From tourism to transportation, commercial growth to community development, conservation plays an increasingly strategic role — and collaboration is key.

The Conservation Leadership Network® (CLN) makes such collaboration possible. Founded in 1998, the mission of CLN is to bring diverse constituencies together to forge conservation solutions on-the-ground. The goal is to achieve common ground for our partners through training and education, sustainability services, innovative projects, and technical assistance/capacity building.

Services

Services offered by the Conservation Leadership Network include:

  • Collaborative learning events offered at NCTC or other sites: By providing an open, safe and neutral environment for learning and dialogue, CLN inspires participants to test new ideas, exchange information, and form lasting partnerships. Our niche is collaborative learning. Our motto is: “To practice together in the future, we must learn together today”
  • Leadership forums and focus groups: If a community is generating a green infrastructure plan or developing a sustainable tourism approach, leadership forums and focus groups are necessary components. CLN staff has worked with hundreds of communities across the country and can bring that national perspective to the table.
  • Innovative Projects: The Conservation Fund likes to work at the nexus of the environment and the economy. CLN is adept at convening disparate interests to conceive of cutting-edge project that serve as models for others around the country.

To date, we have directly reached more than 10,000 people with our work. CLN staff are skilled presenters, facilitators, and content experts and can draw upon the expertise of The Fund and the larger community of CLN Partners.
