David Williams

Vice President and Chief Information Officer

David is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in managing technology strategy, digital transformation, I.T. service delivery and geographic information systems. Currently serving as Vice President of Technology and Chief Information Officer at The Conservation Fund, he has over 20 years of expertise in desktop, infrastructure, network and cybersecurity operations.

David began his career at the Mortgage Bankers Association where he initiated a standards maintenance protocol to reduce costs, improve transparency and increase automation in housing finance data. He later held various line and management roles within the Information Technology department at National Public Radio, leading the new build of the Los Angeles bureau’s information technology systems, completing a ground-up rebuild of the New York bureau, and overseeing the migration of over 1,500 end user systems as part of the organization’s $243 million headquarters relocation in Washington, D.C.

David’s career is characterized by his ability to manage complex technological ecosystems, implement transformative initiatives and ensure robust cybersecurity measures across diverse organizational settings.

David holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Howard University and is currently certified in cybersecurity (CISSP).
