Luis de la Garza

Luis de la Garza practiced corporate law before becoming a corporate executive in three different Fortune 500 companies principally in the oil and gas and electric power industries. He co-founded Texen Power Company, LLC, a company that assists clients to purchase electric power throughout the competitive electric power markets in Texas and retired as President and CEO in 2015.

Throughout his corporate career he has served on various non-profit boards of directors and is currently chairman of the board of directors of the Hemisfair Conservancy in San Antonio, Texas, assisting in the redeveloping the site of the 1968 World’s Fair into a vibrant and walkable urban park. He served his country as a Marine aviator having flown F-4 supersonic fighter bombers in defense of Americans engaged in the Vietnam conflict on the ground, in the air, and on the seas.
