Gavin Kakol

Field Representative

Gavin joined The Conservation Fund in 2021 and has over six years of real estate experience in both commercial and land conservation settings. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in economics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Beginning his career in commercial real estate, Gavin assisted in negotiating complex transactions and marketing commercial land for development to national retailers.

In 2018 Gavin joined the California Rangeland Trust as the Land Transaction Manager after deciding to utilize his background to conserve rather than develop land. While at California Rangeland Trust, Gavin managed dozens of transactions resulting in over 22,000 acres of conservation across California. These transactions ranged from high-profile donations to complex mitigation easements involving multiple governments and stakeholders.

Gavin’s love for outdoors stems from his experience in scouts where he frequented open spaces around his hometown of Las Vegas and the greater Southwest. When not working, Gavin enjoys spending time with his family, researching genealogy and getting outside.
