William Kelleher

Senior Government Relations Representative

William assists the Fund with the Executive Branch, Congress, and nongovernmental organizations regarding federal conservation policy and funding opportunities.

William works with southeastern congressional delegations to conserve fish and wildlife habitat; improve hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation access; promote sustainable economic development; and preserve America’s cultural history. He is the Fund’s lead realty liaison with grant programs within the USDA-Forest Service (such as the Forest Legacy Program), Fish and Wildlife Service, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Previously, William worked with more than 30 hunting, fishing and conservation organizations at a premiere boutique lobbying firm. He has also worked in real estate development and management, oil field services, industrial recycling and outdoor education. He received a law degree from American University Washington College of Law, as part of their evening division, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate from the University of Georgia. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia. William enjoys biking, fishing, history and whitewater kayaking.
