Kata Sharrer

Research Support Specialist

Kata is a Research Support Specialist at the Freshwater Institute. She supports the precision aquaculture research initiative, which is focused on using sensing technology and machine learning to improve production practices in recirculating aquaculture systems. She also contributes to the team by creating CAD models and drawings, producing outreach materials and technical illustrations, and providing logistical support for the Institute’s courses and events. Kata holds a Master of Science from Hood College and a Bachelor of Science from Shepherd University.
