Stacia Stanek

Director, Government Relations

Stacia oversees The Conservation Fund’s work on federal policy and funding related to private land conservation programs and represents the organization with the administration, U.S. Congress and nongovernmental organizations.  

Stacia works closely with the Executive Branch and both the House and Senate to conserve fish and wildlife habitat; improve hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation access; promote sustainable economic development; conserve working landscapes; and preserve America’s cultural history. She is the Fund’s lead liaison with the Department of Defense and Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service, Agricultural Marketing Service, National Institute of Food and Agriculture and Rural Development. 

Stacia joined the Fund in 2015. Previously, she worked at the Wildlife Conservation Society and as an environment, energy and transportation policy advisor for former U.S. Senator Russ Feingold. She holds an M.A. in Zoology from Miami University of Ohio and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Southern California. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, camping, good food and traveling.
