Krisztian Varsa

Director, Farms Fund

Krisztian joined The Conservation Fund in 2020, and as the Director of Farms Fund, he is supporting the transition of critically threatened farmland to next-generation farmers in major metropolitan communities across the country. Krisztian has more than a decade of experience in conservation real estate transactions, farmer and farmland support, USDA program implementation, watershed restoration and program development.

Prior to joining The Conservation Fund, Krisztian was the Conservation Director for Athens Land Trust, where he protected working lands for future generations of Georgians and started new conservation programs for young people and historically underserved farmers. Krisztian holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Delaware and a Master of Regional Planning from Cornell University.
