Thomas Horton

Fish Culture Technician

Thomas is a Fish Culture Technician at the Freshwater Institute. He is responsible for daily feeding, cleaning and monitoring to maintain proper fish health and welfare. Before joining the Freshwater Institute, Thomas worked at the National Institutes of Health, where he worked with zebrafish, blind cave fish, and African clawed frogs used in developmental biology research, and the Downeast Institute, where he worked with American lobsters and various bivalve species. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Maine at Machias.
