What We Do

Land sustains America. It is our natural heritage and connects us to our past. It provides food and natural resources. It supports jobs and advances economic opportunity in rural and urban communities. It is home to wildlife and the key to clean air and water.

Our Approach

Land critical for conservation and communities can be lost in an instant. We have a unique approach for protecting land and solving America’s conservation challenges.

Where We Work

The Conservation Fund has worked in all 50 states to protect land and advance nature, economic opportunity and strong, vibrant communities.

The Conservation Fund is in the business of protecting the land for all of us so nature and people can thrive together. Our work focuses on four key areas: conserving land, ensuring working lands continue to provide environmental and economic benefits, helping communities across the nation thrive, and facilitating the clean energy economy that will power tomorrow and build climate resilience.

Using our expertise in land acquisition and innovative finance, TCF is able to act quickly to protect land and work with partners to shape a permanent conservation solution. We have protected millions of acres over the years, but that’s not the only way we measure success. Every project we undertake — from protecting pristine wilderness for visitors and endangered species to preserving vast timber forests and small farms to creating urban parks and restoring historical sites — is successful if it makes America and people’s lives better.

Make a Difference

Help protect America's priceless natural landscapes and ensure that we have healthy environments, places to work and play, and real economic opportunity.
