Barbara Ortega

Barbara is the bookkeeper for the North Coast Projects in California and tracks logging activity and expenses for other program activities, pays vendors and provides carbon credit sales support.

Barbara had a long career in telecom finance in roles from cost accountant to auditor to asset manager prior to joining The Conservation Fund. She holds an MBA.

in 2015 Barbara moved from Georgia to California to live in the place she considers almost perfect, the North Coast. She enjoys walks along the headlands and in the forest and lives with her husband, dog and two cats.
