Ellie Lerner

Program Associate

As Program Associate, Ellie brings rigorous analysis, applied field sciences, creative storytelling and engagement strategies to The Conservation Fund’s Activation team. Inspired by the biodiversity of her family home on Alabama’s Gulf Coast, Ellie advocates for environmental literacy through research, design and land activation. As a landscape architect and planner, she deploys social-ecological rehabilitation as a means for shaping more resilient communities and their economies and is experienced in large-scale systems planning for restorative landscapes. She regularly participates in cross-disciplinary planning for natural resource sustainability, conservation and land management, and agricultural systems and appropriate technologies, and she enjoys building meaningful project partnerships through fun community engagement. Ellie is moved by community projects that embed layered exploration and uplift through thoughtful design.
