Leigh Scheffey

As Senior Communications Manager, Leigh collaborates with program, development and marketing teams to tell the story of The Conservation Fund’s projects and programs.

Before stepping into her current role, Leigh worked as Director of Communications and Community Projects at Mercy Corps for five years where she led communications and oversaw programs based in the Pacific Northwest. Her career includes nearly 10 years of communications experience working to advance the impact of both for-profit and nonprofit organizations.

Leigh holds a B.A. in Journalism and PR from the University of Oregon. She is originally from Boulder, Colorado, but now lives in Portland, Oregon, where she spends most of her time exploring the outdoors and eating delicious food with her dog and partner.
