Arkansas’ diverse landscape of mountains, rivers, dense forests and rich farmlands earned it the nickname “Natural State.” The state boasts a rich history, including its national significance as home to one of America’s most intact Civil War battlefields. As part of our work, The Conservation Fund protects at-risk habitats, wildlife refuges and historical sites to retain critical archives of our nation’s past.
