Andy Jones

Senior Project Manager

Since joining The Conservation Fund in 1997, Andy has negotiated over 40 land acquisition transactions for partners that have protected 100,000 acres of land throughout Texas with a primary focus on the Neches River in East Texas. In the past five years alone, Andy has added 34,000 acres of land to the Big Thicket National Preserve. He has been a tireless advocate for parks and conservation throughout the state, including acquiring land for permanent protection in the Neches River National Wildlife Refuge, the Lower Trinity National Wildlife Refuge and the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge. He currently serves as a member of the Advisory Board of Houston Wilderness and the Texas Forest Stewardship Council.

Previously, Andy provided 15 years of service to the state of Texas, including 10 years with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Andy holds a B.S. in Geography from Texas A&M University.  He is an avid climber and has shared numerous climbing trips in Africa, Mexico and the continental U.S. with family and friends.
