Christine Lepine

Research Support Specialist

Christine is a research support specialist who assists in the advancement of recirculating aquaculture systems.

Since joining the Freshwater Institute team in 2014, Christine has been responsible for researching water-quality technologies and waste-to-value initiatives for land-based aquaculture. Current and former research areas include work with composting, anaerobic digestion, fluidized sand biofilters, and denitrification woodchip bioreactors. Christine holds a Master of Science in Natural Resource and Environmental Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies, with a concentration in Natural Resource Management, from Shepherd University.
