Erik Meyers

Vice President, Climate and Water Sustainability

Erik  advances The Conservation Fund’s work in partnership with historically underserved urban communities. These program efforts include economic and social welfare advancement in combination with new park and green infrastructure projects. He also leads nature-based coastal climate adaptation projects, advances One Water policy and practice innovations, and supports the Fund’s mitigation solutions program.

Erik currently serves on the Maryland Climate Commission’s Adaption and Resilience Work Group, Chesapeake Bay Program Climate Resilience Work Group, and National Aquarium Conservation Committee. Previously, he held senior legal and program positions at the Environmental Law Institute and chaired a national voluntary environmental standards body. Meyers earned his law degree from Fordham University and bachelor’s degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.

Meyers, a resident of Arlington, Virginia, is active in metropolitan area civic affairs, including Potomac River stewardship and leadership on improved recreational access.
