Sami Aboulhosn

Assistant Secretary and Regional Counsel, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Region

Sami joined The Conservation Fund in September 2021. He provides strategic counsel on legal and business matters, with a focus on real estate transactions. Sami has extensive experience representing clients in both the private and nonprofit sectors on a wide variety of real estate and other legal matters.

Prior to joining The Conservation Fund, Sami worked for The Barack Obama Foundation, serving as lead counsel on the construction and implementation of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago. He also provided legal counsel on a range of other issues including museum, fundraising and nonprofit law. Previously, Sami worked in the New York office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where he represented public and private companies in commercial transactions related to real estate, including acquisitions, financing, joint ventures and leases.

Sami has a B.A. from The College of William and Mary in American Studies and Economics. He received his J.D. from Tulane University Law School.
