Sarah Howard

Conservation Associate

Sarah assists in the coordination and transactional execution of real estate acquisition projects in the Lower Mississippi and Central Gulf Region, with a focus on Louisiana. In her role, Sarah works to utilize GIS mapping tools to identify conservation priorities and solutions, identify funding opportunities, prepare grant proposals and manage due diligence activities for real estate projects. She also manages The Conservation Fund’s Mississippi mitigation banking program.

Prior to joining the Fund, Sarah worked as a project manager for a Texas-based real estate development firm. In this role, her work focused on the design and development of sustainable, environmentally responsible and aesthetically enriching built environments. Sarah has long been interested in the intersection of sustainability and real estate, integrating conservation practices with traditional business development and real estate models to deliver projects with lasting environmental value.

When not working, Sarah enjoys traveling with her husband and their three children, watching football, fishing and floral design.
