Scott Tsukuda

Director of Operations

Scott is the Director of Operations at the Freshwater Institute. He is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of facility infrastructure and contributes to ongoing research.

His interest areas include energy efficiency, control and monitoring systems, and computing technologies. Since 1996, Scott has worked on a variety of areas including PLC programming, denitrification research, energy audits and alternative wastewater treatment demonstration systems. He is currently working with the Precision Aquaculture team to apply new technologies to RAS with the purposes of improving system performance, safety and efficiency. He holds a Master of Engineering in Agricultural Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from Cornell University. Scott is also a Certified Energy Manager.
