David Williams

Vice President, Technology and Chief Information Officer

Based in Arlington, VA, David C. Williams is the Vice President of Technology & Chief Information Officer of The Conservation Fund. In this role, he manages the organization’s digital strategy, transformation and operations. David joined the Conservation Fund in 2016 and with over 20 years of technology experience in desktop, infrastructure and network operations.

David began his career at the Mortgage Bankers Association in technology-focused, government agency relations. At the MBA, David initiated a standards maintenance protocol to reduce costs, improve transparency and address communications issues related to housing finance data. David spent more than 14 years in various line and management roles within the Information Technology department at National Public Radio. During that time, based on the diversity of his skills, David was charged with leading the new build of the west coast bureau’s desktop infrastructure, a complete rebuild of the New York bureau and the migration of over 1,500 desktop systems as part of the organization’s $243 million headquarters relocation in Washington DC.

David holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Howard University.
