John Wros

Field Representative, Alaska and Northwest Region, Conservation Acquisition

John joined the Fund in 2015 as an Alaska Program Associate. He has an in-depth understanding of conservation real estate transactions and finance. Current work includes preservation, restoration, and recreation access projects in partnership with USDA, DOI, DOD, state agencies, land trusts and Alaska Native Corporations. John previously worked as lands manager for the Great Land Trust and served on the board of the Arroyos and Foothills Conservancy. John holds a BA from Occidental College, an MS in forest ecology from the University of Washington, and is completing a PhD in collaborative governance through the University of Washington.
