Margaret Conrad has been a consultant for The Conservation Fund’s Resourceful Communities Program since 2008.

She provides training and technical assistance to help grassroots organizations across North Carolina increase their capacity and sustainability.  Margaret also works in South Carolina on promoting community forestry.  Margaret has worked on natural resource and agriculture issues since her time on Capitol Hill.  Previously, she worked for The Campaign Network and prior to that was legislative assistant then legislative director for Congressman Robin Tallon, D-SC. Margaret’s commitment to community extends beyond her work for The Conservation Fund to a wide array of volunteer activities.

She holds a B.A. from Salem College and an M.A. from American University.
