Save Oak Hill

Will you take 2 minutes to help save a critical piece of American history? Even if you don’t live in Virginia, your support can make a difference.

Oak Hill in Northern Virginia holds immense cultural and historical significance. The magnificent 1,200-acre estate is anchored by a well-preserved mansion — the only privately owned home of a Founding Father. It’s where President James Monroe wrote the Monroe Doctrine, which remains a cornerstone of American foreign policy. It’s also home to valuable stories of enslaved African Americans and Indigenous peoples who lived and worked on the land.

But without swift action by Virginia leaders, Oak Hill is at risk of being lost to development. We need 5,000 signatures before April 2 to urge Governor Youngkin to secure Oak Hill as a state park, protecting the site for conservation, recreation, and cultural value. Don’t wait — your signature can make a difference.
