Resourceful Communities offers a variety of training opportunities to strengthen community programming. Our trainings are designed to meet the needs of grassroots organizations and take many forms: workshops, individual trainings, and peer learning visits. Support is provided at no cost.

Program Palooza: Elevate Your Programs: Registration is now open!

 

Are you looking for new and exciting ways to engage your community? Do you want to learn about free and low-cost programs that can enrich your work? Then join us for Program Palooza! You will discover curriculums and resources on topics such as nutrition, heritage, entrepreneurship, environmental education, literacy, and more. Don’t miss this opportunity to network with other leaders, experience hands-on demonstrations, and take home valuable tools for your community.

 

Goals and Objectives

  • Connect community-based organizations with free and low-cost curriculums and resources that can enrich their programs.
  • Through hands-on demonstrations, introduce participants to a variety of topics and themes that can enhance their work and impact their communities.
  • Facilitate networking and collaboration among participants to foster a sense of community and support.

 

This training is open to rural non-profits, community groups, and faith-based organizations located in North Carolina.

 

Please register for the workshop closest to where you live. Registration is limited to no more than three per organization.

  • Tuesday, April 16 – Mills River UMC, Mills River, NC (Western NC). Register here.

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION APPLIES TO ALL EVENTS:

COST:  Normally there is no cost to attend our workshops. However, if overnight lodging is provided, a refundable deposit may be required. ALL participants must register in advance.

MEALS:  Snacks and lunch will be provided as needed.

MILEAGE ALLOWANCE:  A mileage allowance is provided, limit one allowance per car.

LODGING:  Lodging may be offered to those driving more than 2 hours to the workshop closest to your home.
