Georgia

Introduction

Georgia’s landscape ties together a mix of Appalachian Mountains in the north and coastal plains and barrier islands in the south. The capital city of Atlanta is the birthplace of many influential Civil Rights leaders – including Martin Luther King Jr. – and the location of the Atlanta Beltline greenspace. Our work in the state helps to expand parks and wildlife refuges, memorialize historic lands, and support small-scale farmers in creating more resilient food systems.
