Kansas

Introduction

Kansas is a land of expansive prairies, dense woodlands and agricultural fields that define its landscape. From the native tallgrass prairies of the Flint Hills, to the more than 45 million acres of agricultural land, preserving the state’s ecological resources is essential. Our work in Kansas takes a multifaceted approach to conserve and restore habitats, safeguard the state’s rich biodiversity, and permanently protect the region’s prime agricultural land and ranching heritage.
