New Mexico

Introduction

New Mexico’s landscape is a striking mix of deserts, mountains and mesas. The state is well-known for its deep Indigenous roots and boasts a rich mix of plants and wildlife. Unfortunately, the changing climate is taking a toll, with drought leading to a decline of natural land, native plants and local species. Our work in the state helps to combat this by conserving high-value habitats, enriching lands for native birds and supporting access to critical ranchlands.
