Virginia

Introduction

Virginia’s landscape ranges from the Appalachian Mountains in the west to the Atlantic coastline in the east. The Blue Ridge Mountains offer stunning views and outdoor adventure, while the coastal region boasts sandy beaches, marshlands and the scenic Chesapeake Bay. Our work in the state focuses on preserving lands with cultural and historic significance, expanding access to and creating new public lands, protecting fragile coastlines and forests, and enriching the natural resource economy.
